Introducing The Feeding Table: A Cozy Corner for Caregivers

Please note: This blog is for educational and informational purposes only and does not replace medical advice, therapy advice, or care from your child’s healthcare team. If you have questions or concerns about your child’s health, feeding, or safety at mealtimes, please consult a qualified healthcare provider. For full details, please visit our Terms + Conditions.

The more families we meet, the more convinced we are that mealtimes hold some of the most tender, complicated, and meaningful moments of family life. They’re where traditions are passed down, inside jokes are formed, and everyday stories are told between bites and sips. They’re also where worries can grow loudest when feeding is hard.

If you’re parenting a child with feeding challenges, you already know that the table can hold both sweetness and strain at the very same time. You deserve a place where you can learn about feeding therapy, find language for what you’re seeing, and feel a little less alone.

WHY WE CREATED THE FEEDING TABLE

That’s why we created The Feeding Table—a cozy corner of our website where caregivers can feel seen, heard, and supported around mealtimes. This space was born out of late‑night searches for understanding, countless stories from families, and a deep desire to sit beside you and listen as you share your story.

We wanted to build something different: a gentle landing place where you can exhale, gather reliable information, and feel like someone truly understands how much is wrapped up in one small bite. A place that honors both the clinical pieces of feeding therapy and the very real emotions that come with loving a child who struggles with eating.

WHAT YOU’LL FIND AT THE FEEDING TABLE

At The Feeding Table, you’ll find:

  • Clear, compassionate guidance for the questions that keep coming up around your table—what does typical feeding development look like, why is feeding so complicated, how do you know if your concerns are enough to reach out, and more.

  • Thoughtful articles on feeding challenges that explain why eating is so complex and how sensory, medical, developmental, emotional, and family pieces all weave together at mealtimes.

  • Practical tips that feel sustainable in real life, designed to fit into your busy days and the routines you already have.

  • Reflections and gentle notes that remind you you’re not alone in this work of feeding and loving your child, especially on the days that feel extra heavy.

Our hope is that The Feeding Table feels less like a textbook and more like sitting with a trusted friend who happens to be a feeding therapist—someone who can offer insight, language, and next steps without overwhelming you.

OUR HOPE FOR THE FEEDING TABLE

We know that when feeding is hard, it doesn’t just stay on the plate. It can touch your confidence as a caregiver, your family rhythms, and the way you feel walking into holidays, school events, or even an ordinary Tuesday night dinner. You deserve support that honors that whole picture—not just the number of foods your child eats.

Our hope is that this space helps you feel seen, heard, and supported, whether you’re just starting to wonder about feeding therapy or you’ve been walking this road for a long time. We want The Feeding Table to be a place you can return to whenever you need a bit of clarity, encouragement, or hope for your mealtimes.

We’re just getting started, and we’d love to have you here with us. You can visit The Feeding Table on our website—please stay as long as you’d like and come back anytime you need a reminder that you and your child don’t have to do this alone.

From The Feeding Table to your family table,
Courtney

Our hope is that this space helps you feel seen, heard, and supported. If you’re looking for care specifically with feeding and wondering if NOSH could help, we’d be honored to connect with you to explore whether we might be a good fit for you, your child, and your family. We currently serve infants, children, teens, and families in homes across greater Houston and virtually throughout select states where we’re licensed. We’re always open to exploring new areas when it’s the right fit for a family and for NOSH.
